What In The Winter Are You Wearing?!

This winter we can get by with a little help from our friends.
Meg from the Leatherettes & Tom from Hellraiser Garage dropped in to show us how winter layering is done!

Layering is a fantastic way to make sure that you have some gear that can be worn all year round but depending on what that particular day is going to throw at you, you are prepared. This is something all Melbournian's should know all too well, we are famous for getting four seasons in a day after all.

Go check out your moto wardrobe, right now, go on, and make sure you are kitted up to keep riding through winter. You don't want to get caught out with nips hard enough to cut glass when you are trying to enjoy the crisp air on those winding wintery roads.

Layer up baby:

Best winter motorcycle layers Moto Est

1. SPARK TEE. As we all know, tees are fantastic for layering because when you get to your destination in front of your log fire you are going to want to strip down to the best t-shirt going round & it's unisex so you can match with your partner.

2. MO LOVE TEE. If you are going to layer, you may as well do it with one that is loud. Rip those layers off and reveal our ironic moto femmes moustache logo to get talking over a mulled wine.

3. CALIFORNIA RIDING SHIRT. These shirts are made from such a thick canvas that they are perfect for layering as a windbreaker but then you can wear it as a stand alone piece in the summer months.

4. KNEE HIGH SOCKS. Yes they keep your tooties warm but they also come in a range of super cool funky designs so even if you get caught in the rain, they will bring a smile to your dial.

5. NECK WARMER. You are a fool if you don't have one of these in your winter kit! They are so warm we can't even begin to explain the joy you will feel when you ride with one in the crisp winter air.

6. LEATHER FACE MASK. Yes this leather mask has perforations so you can breathe easy but if you still wear an open face helmet to get around the city then these are a must have as they give you that bit of extra protection from the icy air.

7. ACID H2O RAIN PANTS. These are flying off the shelves and for a reason. They are 100% waterproof, windproof but also breathable and stow away nice and small so you can always have them on hand to whip out in bad weather.

8. EUDOXIE SWEATSHIRT. Sweaters are just blankets you can wear on the road or to work! WARNING: Once you wrap yourself in this thick, fair trade, 100% organic cotton jumper you will never want to take it off.
