Simpson helmets come with a clear visor but you can choose to change up the look and feel while you are riding by upgrading with a stylish and functional tinted shield. When ordering a shield for your motorcycle helmet, keep these considerations in mind:
- Compatible with the Simpson Bandit helmet range
- Clear shields are generally used for night or very low light conditions
- Amber shields provide a minimal amount of tinting that's ideally suited to overcast weather
- Tinted shields can help to eliminate glare during daytime riding
- Some people find that mirrored shields block even more sunlight than tinted shields and Iridium shields provide the most protection from both sunlight and glare
- Available in several colours

General Helmet Care Instructions
We always recommend using a microfibre cloth to clean the exterior of your helmet. Simply use warm water to gently wipe away any dirt, don't use any cleaning products, cleaning solutions can damage your helmet.
Interal sun shields & visors typically have some sort of protective coating so it's the same as the helmet, use warm water only. No sprays or chemicals. To get rid of any water marks you can just use a clean & dry microfibre cloth to completely remove thems. We always recommend removing the visor before cleaning.
