Saturday Sales Assistant

We are looking for a motivated, hard-working & fun Sales Assistant to join our small team. The role will be constantly varied, interesting, busy, fulfilling & is perfect for someone wanting to join a small business & grow with it. We are looking for someone to work in our showroom every Saturday as the face of our business & assisting our customers with their motorcycle gear needs.

Our ideal candidate will be a rider who is confident in giving customers advice on our gear & enjoys talking all things bikes & riding. Having a passion for the riding community is intrinsic to our core values. The perfect candidate will promote, empower & support our brand & our riding community.

  

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Opening & closing the Collingwood showroom as required
  • Welcoming & greeting walk-in customers ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
  • Build rapport & relationships with customers to help them find their ideal riding gear
  • Support the Shop Manager with any restocking or visual merchandising
  • Refresh merchandise & replenish stock as required to create a beautiful & welcoming space
  • Customer relations – help grow the brand by giving excellent phone & in-store service & anticipate the needs of our customers creating not only a store but a community for our customers
  • Maintain outstanding store cleanliness, condition & visual merchandising standards
  • Operate point-of-sale payment systems
  • Occasional shop inbox management
  • Ad hoc tasks as required to help support the team
  • Opportunities to get involved in events & community engagement outside of work hours

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

 

Experience:

  • Solid & proven work experience in a similar retail sales position
  • Track record of overachieving sales quotas (desirable)
  • Working in a team

 

Skills/Requirements: 

  • Motorcycle license holder (desirable)
  • Basic understanding of sales principles & customer service practices
  • Solid communication & interpersonal skills
  • Customer service focused
  • Reliable & trustworthy
  • Possess a friendly, helpful, confident & engaging personality
  • Confident in giving information & advice
  • Ability to be friendly & polite even when under pressure
  • Attention to detail is critical
  • Easily adapts to non-typical shop conditions (warehouse store with limited heating/cooling)
  • Excellent verbal & written communication
  • Proficiency in English
